At SMK Engineering, we turn raw steel into structural solutions with years of industry experience. Our operatives are qualified to our exacting standards through apprenticeship schemes and many years of working within the industry.
Quality
Quality is at the heart of our business and compliant to UKCA Execution Class 2 (EXC2). This certification allows us to legally fabricate structural steelwork to suit your requirements.
Our workshops are kitted out with CNC Plasma and Burning Machines, a CNC Sawing and Drilling Line. Up to date MIG/MAG welding equipment
All components are checked dimensionally and tolerances adhered to. All components are strictly marked to suit the fabrication drawings.
FULLY CERTIFIED
Welders are fully certified to the current standards and welding is carried out to our management system matching EXC2 specifications. NDT (Non Destructive Testing) is carried out in accordance with EXC2 specifications and any additional requirements of the client.
Quality control tracking using material test certs, for raw materials , welding consumables and nuts and bolts are maintained as per the current regulations within EXC2.
With our fleet of vehicles we can transport the fabricated steelwork to your required surface treatment be it painters or galvanisers
